করোনাভাইরাসে আক্রান্ত হয়ে খুলনা বিভাগে গত ২৪ ঘন্টায় ৪৬ জনের মৃত্যু হয়েছে। এসময়ে বিভাগটিতে ভাইরাসটি শনাক্ত হয়েছে ৭৭২ জনের শরীরে। এর আগে শুক্রবার (৯ জুলাই) বিভাগে সর্বোচ্চ ৭১ জনের মৃত্যু হয়েছিল।
শনিবার (১০ জুলাই) বিভাগীয় স্বাস্থ্য অধিদফতরের পরিচালক রাশেদা সুলতানা এই তথ্য নিশ্চিত করেছেন।
স্বাস্থ্য পরিচালকের দফতর সূত্রে জানা যায়, গত ২৪ ঘণ্টায় বিভাগের মধ্যে সর্বোচ্চ ১৮ জনের মৃত্যু হয়েছে কুষ্টিয়া জেলায়। বাকিদের মধ্যে খুলনায় ১০ জন, যশোরে ১০ জন, ঝিনাইদহে ৪ জন; মেহেরপুরে ও নড়াইলে দুজন করে মারা গেছেন।
উল্লেখ্য, গত বছরের ১৯ মার্চ খুলনা বিভাগের মধ্যে প্রথম করোনা রোগী শনাক্ত হয় চুয়াডাঙ্গায়। করোনা সংক্রমণের শুরু থেকে শুক্রবার সকাল পর্যন্ত বিভাগের ১০টি জেলায় মোট শনাক্ত হয়েছে ৬৯ হাজার ৯৫৯ জন। আক্রান্ত হয়ে মারা গেছেন ১ হাজার ৫৩৩ জন। সুস্থ হয়ে বাড়ি ফিরেছেন ৪৫ হাজার ২৫২ জন।
