সড়ক দুর্ঘটনার শিকার ব্যক্তি বা তার উত্তরসূরিদের জন্য সড়ক পরিবহন আইন-২০১৮ এর ৫৩ ও ৫৪ ধারা অনুযায়ী কেন ক্ষতিপূরণ ফান্ড গঠনের নির্দেশনা দেওয়া হবে না তা জানতে চেয়ে রুল জারি করেছেন হাইকোর্ট।
এ বিষয়ে যোগাযোগ মন্ত্রণালয়ের সচিব, স্বরাষ্ট্র মন্ত্রণালয়ের জননিরাপত্তা বিভাগের সচিবসহ সংশ্লিষ্টদের আগামী চার সপ্তাহের মধ্যে রুলের জবাব দিতে বলা হয়েছে।
আজ সোমবার বিচারপতি এম. ইনায়েতুর রহিম ও বিচারপতি মো. মোস্তাফিজুর রহমানের সমন্বয়ে গঠিত ভার্চুয়াল বেঞ্চ এ রুল জারি করেন। রুলের বিষয়টি সংবাদমাধ্যমকে নিশ্চিত করেছেন সুপ্রিম কোর্টের আইনজীবী মনোজ কুমার ভৌমিক।
