পাবনায় মাত্র ১০০ টাকা বাজিতে গরম চা একদমে গিলতে গিয়ে আব্দুল হাই (৩২) নামে এক যুবক হাসপাতালে ভর্তি হয়েছেন। শুক্রবার রাতে উপজেলার গোপীনাথপুর বাজারে ঘটনা ঘটে।
আব্দুল হাই সাঁথিয়া পৌরসভার ভবানীপুর গ্রামের মৃত কোবাদ আলীর ছেলে। ঘটনাটি ঘটেছে উপজেলার গোপীনাথপুর বাজারে।জানা যায়, গরম চা খাওয়ায় মুখে ফোসকা পড়ে জিহ্বা ফুলে গেছে।
স্থানীয়রা জানায়, শুক্রবার রাতে গোপীনাথপুর বাজারে ফজুর চায়ের দোকানে এক ব্যক্তির সঙ্গে আব্দুল হাই বাজি ধরে গরম চা একদমে খেয়ে ফেললে তাকে ১০০ টাকা দিতে হবে। আর যদি তা না পারে তবে আব্দুল হাই ওই ব্যক্তিকে ১০০ টাকা দেবে। পরে চা দোকানীর দেয়া চা মুখে ঢেলে দেয়ার সঙ্গেই সঙ্গেই চিৎকার দিয়ে উঠেন আব্দুল হাই। পরে তার মুখে ও গলায় যন্ত্রণা শুরু হলে তার স্বজনরা রাত ১টার দিকে সাঁথিয়া হাসপাতালে ভর্তি করেন।
সাঁথিয়া হাসপাতালের আবাসিক চিকিৎসক ডা. আব্দুল্লাহ আল মামুন বলেন, অতিরিক্ত গরম চা মুখে নেয়ায় আব্দুলের মুখের ভেতর চারপাশ ও জিহ্বা ফুলে গেছে।
