বিএনপির কর্মসূচিতে পুলিশের মারধর এবং বাধা দেয়ার প্রতিবাদে, জাতীয় প্রেসক্লাবের সামনে আজকের কর্মসূচীতে নেতা-কর্মীদের আসতে বিভিন্ন জায়গায় পুলিশের বাধার অভিযোগ করেছে দলের ভাইস চেয়ারম্যান আমানুল্লাহ আমান। তিনি বলেছেন বাধা দিয়ে লাভ হবে না। সরকার বিএনপিকে ভয় পায় বলেই তাদের কোথাও দাঁড়াতে দিতে চায়না।
বুধবার সাবেক রাষ্ট্রপতি ও বিএনপির প্রতিষ্ঠাতা জিয়াউর রহমানের খেতাব বাতিল উদ্যোগের প্রতিবাদে সমাবেশ করছে ঢাকা মহানগর বিএনপি।
জাতীয় প্রেসক্লাবের সামনে প্রতিবাদ সমাবেশের আয়োজন করে ঢাকা মহানগর উত্তর ও দক্ষিণ বিএনপির নেতাকর্মীরা।
এ সময় তারা বলেন, জণগনের দৃষ্টি ভিন্ন খাতে সরাতেই জিয়ার খেতাব বাতিলের অপচেষ্টা করছে ক্ষমতাসীনরা। রাজনৈতিক উদ্দেশ্যপ্রণোদিত এ সিদ্ধান্ত দেশের মানুষ মানবে না বলে জানান নেতারা।
