ভারত ও পাকিস্তানের সঙ্গে সব ধরনের বিমান চলাচল বন্ধ করে দিয়েছে ইরান। শনিবার রাত ১২টা থেকে পরবর্তী নির্দেশ না দেয়া পর্যন্ত ভারত ও পাকিস্তানগামী এবং ওই দুই দেশ থেকে ইরানগামী নির্ধারিত সকল বিমান চলাচল বন্ধ থাকবে।
ইরানের বেসামরিক বিমান চলাচল কর্তৃপক্ষের মুখপাত্র মোহাম্মাদ হাসান জিবাখশ শনিবার আইআরআইবি’কে দেয়া এক সাক্ষাৎকারে এ তথ্য জানিয়েছেন। ভারত ও পাকিস্তানে করোনাভাইরাসের নতুন ভেরিয়েন্ট শনাক্ত হওয়ায় ইরানের স্বাস্থ্য মন্ত্রণালয় এ সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে বলে জানিয়েছেন তিনি।
জিবাখশ বলেন, এখন থেকে ওই দুই দেশের সঙ্গে জরুরি প্রয়োজনে বিশেষ ফ্লাইটের ব্যবস্থা করা হবে কিন্তু কোনো নিয়মিত ফ্লাইট চলবে না। ভারত ও পাকিস্তান হয়ে কোনো কানেক্টিং ফ্লাইটও ইরানের সঙ্গে চালানো যাবে না।
বর্তমানে বিশ্বের ৪১টি দেশের সঙ্গে ইরানের বিমান যোগাযোগ বন্ধ রয়েছে।
ইরানে বর্তমানে করোনাভাইরাসের চতুর্থ ঢেউ চলছে। তারপরও দেশটি নিজের নাগরিকদের নিরাপত্তা বিবেচনায় নিয়ে আরো বেশি বিপজ্জনক দেশগুলোর সঙ্গে বিমান যোগাযোগ রক্ষা করার ক্ষেত্রে সতর্কতামূলক ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ করে যাচ্ছে।
