চাঁপাইনবাবগঞ্জের শিবগঞ্জে উপজেলার পৃথক দুটি স্থানে বিদ্যুৎস্পৃষ্টে তিনজনের মৃত্যু হয়েছে। গতকাল রাতে উপজেলার জগন্নাথপুর ফুলদিয়ার ও দুবলিভান্ডার এলাকায় এ ঘটনা ঘটে।
শিবগঞ্জ থানার ওসি ফরিদ হোসেন আজ সকালে বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করেছেন।
নিহতরা হলেন- উপজেলার দুর্লভপুর ইউনিয়নের নামো জগন্নাথপুরের ফুলদিয়ার এলাকার শিমুল (২৫), সামনুর (৬৫) ও দুবলিভান্ডার এলাকার আব্দুল মালেক (২৬)।
দুর্লভপুর ইউপি চেয়ারম্যান অধ্যাপক আব্দুর রাজিব রাজু জানান, বৃহস্পতিবার রাতে নামো জগন্নাথপুরের ফুলদিয়ার নদীর ঘাট থেকে নৌকায় করে দাদনচক আসছিলেন শিমুল ও সামনুর বেগম।
এসময় নদীতে পানি বৃদ্ধি পাওয়ায় পল্লী বিদ্যুৎ সমিতির অবহেলায় ঝুলে থাকা বিদ্যুতের তারে মাথা আটকে যায় সামনুর বেগমের। এ সময় পানিতে ছিটকে পড়েন শিমুল। পরে বিদ্যুৎস্পৃষ্টে ঘটনাস্থলেই সামনুর বেগম ও রাজশাহী মেডিকেলে নেওয়ার পথে শিমুলের মৃত্যু হয়।
অপরদিকে একই রাতে উপজেলার দুবলিভান্ডারে এলাকায় বিদ্যুৎস্পৃষ্ট হয়ে আব্দুল মালেক (২৬) নামে এক যুবকের মৃত্যু হয়েছে।
