দীর্ঘ চার বছরেরও বেশি সময় পর সব সচিবদের নিয়ে বৈঠক করছেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা।
আজ বুধবার সকাল ১০টায় রাজধানীর এনইসি সম্মেলন কক্ষে এ বৈঠক শুরু হয়। বৈঠকে প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা গণভবন থেকে ভার্চ্যুয়ালি যোগ দিয়েছেন।
গত ৪ জুলাই প্রধানমন্ত্রীর উপস্থিতিতে সচিব সভা করার উদ্যোগ নেওয়া হয়েছিল। কিন্তু করোনা পরিস্থিতির কারণে ওই দিনের সভা স্থগিত করা হয়। এখন লকডাউন তুলে দেওয়ায় বুধবার নতুন করে সচিব সভা অনুষ্ঠিত হচ্ছে।
জানা যায়, সচিবদের নিয়ে প্রতিবছর একটি বিশেষ সভা করেন দেশের সরকারপ্রধান। সচিব সভা করার এই রীতি প্রতিবছরই পালিত হয়। তবে কোনো কোনো বছর সরকারপ্রধান উপস্থিত না থাকলেও সভা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। তবে এবার প্রধানমন্ত্রী সভায় উপস্থিত থাকার সম্মতি দেওয়ায় সভার গুরুত্ব বেড়েছে।
