ইন্সপেক্টর জেনারেল অব পুলিশ (আইজিপি), ড. বেনজীর আহমেদ বিপিএম (বার) বলেছেন, পাবলিক প্রাইভেট পার্টনারশিপের মাধ্যমে আইন-শৃঙ্খলা নিয়ন্ত্রণের ক্ষেত্রে ল এন্ড অর্ডার কোঅর্ডিনেশন কমিটি (এলওসিসি) অত্যন্ত কার্যকর ও সফল একটি উদ্যোগ।
আইজিপি ২০ ডিসেম্বর ২০২০ বিকালে পুলিশ হেডকোয়ার্টার্সের কনফারেন্স রুম শাপলায় রাজধানীর গুলশান, বারিধারা, নিকেতন ও বনানী এলাকার আইন-শৃঙ্খলা নিয়ন্ত্রণে পুলিশের সাথে সমন্বয়ের লক্ষ্যে গঠিত এলওসিসি’র ২য় বোর্ড সভায় সভাপতিত্বকালে একথা বলেন।
আইজিপি বলেন, মাননীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রীর নেতৃত্বে দেশ এগিয়ে যাচ্ছে। আমাদেরকেও এগিয়ে যেতে হবে। আমাদের দৃষ্টিভঙ্গি বদলাতে হবে। আইন-শৃঙ্খলা নিয়ন্ত্রণে বাংলাদেশ পুলিশের সাথে এ ধরনের পার্টনারশিপে যুক্ত হওয়ার জন্য সকলের প্রতি আহ্বান জানান তিনি।
সভায় জাতীয় নিরাপত্তা সেলের প্রধান নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তা মো. আছাদুজ্জামান মিয়া, ডিএমপি কমিশনার মোহাঃ শফিকুল ইসলাম, পুলিশ হেডকোয়ার্টার্স ও ডিএমপির সংশ্লিষ্ট কর্মকর্তাবৃন্দ এবং এলওসিসি’র সদস্যগণ উপস্থিত ছিলেন।
