নীলফামারীতে উজানের ঢলে তিস্তা নদীর পানি ফের বিপৎসীমার ওপর দিয়ে প্রবাহিত হচ্ছে। বৃহস্পতিবার (২৯ জুন) দুপুরে ডালিয়া পানি উন্নয়ন বোর্ডের নির্বাহী প্রকৌশলী আসফাউদ্দৌলা এ তথ্য নিশ্চিত করেছেন।
জানা যায়, আজ বুধবার দুপুর ১২টায় তিস্তা ব্যারাজের ডালিয়া পয়েন্টে পানিপ্রবাহ রেকর্ড করা হয়েছে ৫২ দশমিক ৬২ সেন্টিমিটার, যা বিপৎসীমার শূন্য দশমিক ২ সেন্টিমিটার ওপরে। এর আগে একই দিন সকাল ৯টায় পানির প্রবাহ ৫২ দশমিক ৫৫ সেন্টিমিটার রেকর্ড করা হয়েছিল।
ডালিয়া পানি উন্নয়ন বোর্ডের নির্বাহী প্রকৌশলী আসফাউদ্দৌলা বলেন, আজ বুধবার দুপুর থেকে পানি বিপৎসীমার ওপরে প্রবাহিত হচ্ছে। এভাবে পানি বাড়তে থাকলে বন্যার আশঙ্কা রয়েছে। পানির চাপ মোকাবিলায় ব্যারাজের ৪৪টি গেট খুলে রাখা হয়েছে। একইভাবে পানি বাড়তে থাকলে বন্যার আশঙ্কা রয়েছে। বড় ধরনের সমস্যা মোকাবিলায় পাউবোর কর্মকর্তা-কর্মচারীরা সজাগ রয়েছেন।
