ঝিনাইদহের কালীগঞ্জে সাড়ে ৫ বছরের এক শিশু ধর্ষণের শিকার হয়েছে। ঘটনাটি ঘটেছে উপজেলার মালিয়াট ইউনিয়নের গয়েশপুর গ্রামে। এ ঘটনায় শিশুটির মা বাদী হয়ে কালীগঞ্জ থানায় একটি ধর্ষণ মামলা দায়ের করেছে।
মামলা করার পর ধর্ষক শাহিনের পরিবার প্রভাবশালী হওয়ায় সামাজিক ভাবে মামলা তুলে নিতে চাপ দিচ্ছে। ফলে তারা নিরাপত্তাহীনতায় ভুগছেন।
মামলা সূত্রে জানা গেছে, সাড়ে ৫ বছরের ওই শিশু ১৪ নভেম্বর বাড়ির বাইরে খেলতে গেলে প্রতিবেশি আব্দুল লতিফের লম্পট ছেলে শাহিন হোসেন (১৯) শিশুটিকে ক্রিকেট খেলার বল দেওয়ার প্রলোভন দেখিয়ে ধর্ষণ করে। ১৭ নভেম্বর শিশুটি অসুস্থ হয়ে পড়লে সে তার পিতা মাতার কাছে বিষয়টি জানালে ১৯ নভেম্বর শিশুটিকে চিকিৎসার জন্য কালীগঞ্জ উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য কেন্দ্রে ভর্তি করা হয়। ডাক্তারী পরীক্ষা শেষে শিশুটি ধর্ষণের শিকার হয়েছে বলে ডাক্তাররা জানান।
এ ব্যাপারে কালীগঞ্জ থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা (ওসি তদন্ত) মতলেবুর রহমান জানান, বাদীর অভিযোগে প্রেক্ষিতে রোববার রাতে মামলা রেকর্ড করা (যার মামলা নং ১৩)। ধর্ষক শাহিন পালিয়ে আছে। তাকে ধরার জন্য পুলিশ চেষ্টা করছে।
