নোয়াখালীর সদর উপজেলায় পৃথক পৃথক স্থানে অভিযান চালিয়ে পুলিশ এক সাজাপ্রাপ্ত আসামি ও হত্যা মামলার দুই আসমিকে গ্রেফতার করেছে।
গ্রেফতারকৃতরা হলো, সদর উপজেলার পশ্চিম মাইজচড়া গ্রামের লাল মিয়ার ছেলে জহির ইসলাম (৪০), আন্ডারচরের হত্যা মামলার আসমি মো.বেলাল হোসেন (৫০) ও মো.আরিফুর রহমান চৌধুরী (৩২)।
বৃহস্পতিবার (২৩ সেপ্টেম্বর) বিকেলে আটককৃত আসামিদের গ্রেফতার দেখিয়ে বিচারিক আদালতের মাধ্যমে কারাগারে পাঠানো হয়েছে। এর আগে গতকাল বুধবার দিবাগত রাতে উপজেলার পশ্চিম মাইজচড়া ও আন্ডারচর গ্রাম থেকে তাদের গ্রেফতার করে পুলিশ।
সুধারাম থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা (ওসি) মো.সাহেদ উদ্দিন ঘটনার সত্যতা নিশ্চিত করেন। তিনি আরও জানান,সাজাপ্রাপ্ত গ্রেফতারী পরোয়ানা মূলে ২ টি মামলায় ৬ মাস করে সাজাপ্রাপ্ত পলাতক আসামি জহির ইসলামকে ও আন্ডারচরের একটি হত্যা মামলা এজাহার নামীয় ৫নং আসামি মো.বেলাল হোসেন ও এজাহার নামীয় ২৫নং আসামি মো.আরিফুর রহমান চৌধুরীকে গোপন সংবাদের ভিত্তিতে গ্রেফতার করে পুলিশ। বৃহস্পতিবার বিকেলে বিচারকি আদালতের মাধ্যমে গ্রেফতারকৃত আসামিদের কারাগারে পাঠানো হয়েছে।
