পটুয়াখালী জেলার কলাপাড়া উপজেলায় পানিতে ডুবে একই পরিবারের তিন শিশুর মর্মান্তিক মৃত্যুর ঘটনা ঘটেছে।
শুক্রবার (১২ মে) দুপুরের দিকে উপজেলার টিয়াখালী ইউনিয়নের বাদুরতলী জিয়া কলোনীতে এ মর্মান্তিক দুর্ঘটনা ঘটে। তিন শিশু হলো- ওই কলোনীর মোঃ সোহেল ফকিরের ছেলে মোঃ রুমান (৭) ও তার কন্যা মোসাঃ সারমিন (৫) এবং মোঃ রুবেল ফকিরের কন্যা মোসাঃ মরিয়ম (৮)।
স্থানীয় ও পরিবার সূত্রে জানা গেছে, শুক্রবার সকাল থেকেই বাড়ির আশপাশে খেলাধুলা করছিলো তারা। খেলাধুলার একপর্যায়ে ওই ৩ শিশু অসাবধানতা বশতঃ পুকুরের পানিতে পরে যায়। স্থানীয়রা ঘটনাস্থলের পুকুরে ভাসমান অবস্থায় ১টি শিশুর লাশ দেখতে পেয়ে, তাকে উদ্ধার করতে গিয়ে অন্য ২টি মৃতদেহ ডুবন্ত অবস্থায় পুকুর থেকে উদ্ধার করে কলাপাড়া উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য কমপ্লেক্স নিয়ে আসলে কর্তব্যরত চিকিৎসক তিন জনকেই মৃত ঘোষণা করেন।
এদের মৃত্যুতে পরিবারসহ আশেপাশের মানুষের আহাজারিতে স্তব্ধ হয়ে গেছে পুরো বাদুরতলী জিয়া কলোনী।
