ভারতে একটি কোভিড হাসপাতালে আগুন লেগে ৫ রোগীর মৃত্যু হয়েছে। দগ্ধ হয়েছেন আরও অনেকেই। স্থানীয় সময় শুক্রবার ভোরে গুজরাটের রাজকোটের শিবানন্দ হাসপাতালে এ আগুন লাগে। তবে অগ্নিকাণ্ডের কারণ এখনও জানা যায়নি। খবর টাইমস অব ইন্ডিয়া।
খবরে বলা হয়, করোনা মহামারীকালে রাজকোট শহরের শিবানন্দ জেনারেল অ্যান্ড মাল্টি-স্পেশ্যালিটি ট্রাস্ট হাসপাতালটি কোভিড রোগীদের চিকিৎসার জন্য নির্দিষ্ট করা হয়। শুক্রবার ভোরে হাসপাতালের আইসিইউ থেকে আগুনের সূত্রপাত হয়। পরে আশপাশের কয়েকটি ওয়ার্ডে আগুন ছড়িয়ে পড়ে।
হাসপাতাল সূত্র জানিয়েছে, হাসপাতালটিতে ৩৩ জন কোভিড রোগী চিকিৎসাধীন ছিলেন। অগ্নিকাণ্ডের সময় শুধু আইসিইউতে ১১ জন রোগী ছিলেন। বাকি রোগীদের শিবানন্দ হাসপাতাল থেকে অন্যত্র সরানো হচ্ছে।
আইসিইউ থেকেই আগুনের সূত্রপাত হলেও অগ্নিকাণ্ডের কারণ সম্পর্কে এখনও নিশ্চিত হওয়া যায়নি।
তবে শর্টসার্কিট থেকেই আগুনের সূত্রপাত হতে পারে বলে প্রাথমিকভাবে ধারণা করছেন রাজকোটের ফায়ার সার্ভিস কর্মকর্তারা।
