রাজধানীর হযরত শাহজালাল আন্তর্জাতিক বিমানবন্দরে দুবাই ফেরত এক যাত্রীর কাছ থেকে স্বর্ণ উদ্ধার করেছে ঢাকা কাস্টম হাউস। এসময় ওই যাত্রীকে আটক করা হয়।
আটক ওই যাত্রীর নাম আনোয়ার হোসেন। তার শরীরে লুকানো ১ কেজি ১০ গ্রাম ওজনের পেস্ট স্বর্ণ, চারটি স্বর্ণের বার এবং ১১০ গ্রাম স্বর্ণের অলঙ্কার জব্দ করা হয়।
কাস্টমস হাউসের ডেপুটি কমিশনার (প্রিভেন্টিভ) মো. সানোয়ারুল কবীর গণমাধ্যমকে বলেন, শুক্রবার রাতে বিমানবন্দরে এমিরেটস এয়ারলাইন্সের ফ্লাইটে দুবাই থেকে আসেন আনোয়ার হোসেন। শুল্ক ফাঁকি রোধে কাস্টম হাউসের প্রিভেন্টিভ টিম বিমানবন্দরে অবস্থান নেয়। এ সময় তাকে তল্লাশি করে চারটি স্বর্ণের বার পাওয়া যায়, যার ওজন ৪৬৪ গ্রাম। এ ছাড়া স্বর্ণের অলঙ্কার ছিল ১১০ গ্রাম। এ ছাড়া মলদ্বারে বিশেষ পদ্ধতিতে লুকানো আরও ১০১০ গ্রাম স্বর্ণ পাওয়া গেছে।
তিনি বলেন, এসব স্বর্ণের আনুমানিক বাজারমূল্য এক কোটি পাঁচ লাখ টাকা। আটক যাত্রীর বিরুদ্ধে মামলা করে থানায় পাঠানো হয়েছে।
