করোনা ভাইরাসের (কোভিড-১৯) বিস্তার ও দ্বিতীয় ওয়েভ ঠেকাতে ঘরের বাইরে গেলে বাধ্যতামূলকভাবে মাস্ক না পরায় শেরপুরে ভ্রাম্যমাণ আদালতের অভিযান পরিচালিত হয়েছে।
আজ ১৯ নভেম্বর বৃহস্পতিবার দুপুরে শহরের নিউমার্কেট, সজবরখিলা, খোয়ারপাড়, নতুন বাস টার্মিনাল এলাকায় অতিরিক্ত জেলা ম্যাজিস্ট্রেট তোফায়েল আহমেদের নেতৃত্বে এ অভিযান পরিচালিত হয়।
অভিযানকালে মাস্ক না পরায় সংক্রমণ রোগ প্রতিরোধ আইনে ৩৯ জনকে ৯ হাজার ৯শ টাকা জরিমানা করা হয়। সেইসাথে স্বাস্থ্যবিধি নিশ্চিত করতে বিনামূল্যে তাদের মাঝে মাস্ক বিতরণসহ সচেতন করা হয়।
অভিযানে সিনিয়র সহকারী কমিশনার ও নির্বাহী ম্যাজিস্ট্রেট ফারুক আল মাসুদ, সহকারী কমিশনার ও নির্বাহী ম্যাজিস্ট্রেট মিজানুর রহমান, মাহমুদুল হাসান, তামারা তাসবিহা, তাহমিনা তারিন, আকলিমা আক্তারসহ জেলা প্রশাসনের অন্যান্যরা উপস্থিত ছিলেন।
অতিরিক্ত জেলা ম্যাজিস্ট্রেট তোফায়েল আহমেদ জানান, করোনা ভাইরাসের মোকাবেলায় সচেতনতার বিকল্প নেই। করোনার দ্বিতীয় ওয়েভ রোধে মাস্ক পরিধান নিশ্চিত করতে সরকারি নির্দেশনা মোতাবেক ভ্রাম্যমাণ আদালতের এ অভিযান অব্যাহত থাকবে।
