পটুয়াখালীর গলাচিপায় দিন দিন বৃদ্ধি পাচ্ছে করোনা রোগীর সংখ্যা। করোনা ভাইরাসের বিস্তার ছড়িয়ে পড়ছে প্রত্যন্ত অঞ্চলে।
সোমবার (১৯ জুলাই) একদিনে গলাচিপায় করোনা শনাক্তের সর্বোচ্চ রেকর্ড হয়েছে। উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য কমপ্লেক্সে ১৩ জনের নমুনা পরীক্ষায় ১২ জনের রিপোর্ট পজিটিভ এসেছে। তাদের মধ্যে ৮ জন গলাচিপা স্বাস্থ্য কমপ্লেক্সে ভর্তি রয়েছে।
আক্রান্তদের মধ্যে গলাচিপা পৌরসভার ৫ জন, রতনদী তালতলী ইউনিয়নের ৩ জন, ডাকুয়া ইউনিয়নের ১ জন, গজালিয়া ইউনিয়নের ১ জন, গলাচিপা সদর ইউনিয়নের ১ জন ও রাঙ্গাবালী উপজেলার ছোট বাইশদিয়া ইউনিয়নের ১ জন। এ তথ্য নিশ্চিত করেছেন গলাচিপা উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য ও পরিবার পরিকল্পনা কর্মকর্তা ডাঃ মো. মনিরুল ইসলাম।
