স্টাফ রিপোর্টার্ঃ আগামীকাল শনিবার (০৯ মে) থেকে ট্রেডিং করপোরেশন অব বাংলাদেশ (টিসিবি) সারাদেশে ২৫ টাকা দরে পেঁয়াজ বিক্রি করবে বলে জানিয়েছেন বাণিজ্যমন্ত্রী টিপু মুনশি।
বৃহস্পতিবার (০৭ মে) বাণিজ্য মন্ত্রণালয়ে করোনা ভাইরাসের প্রাদুর্ভাবের পরিপ্রেক্ষিতে গৃহীত পদক্ষেপগুলো নিয়ে সংবাদ সম্মেলনে তিনি এ কথা জানান। মন্ত্রী বলেন, রপ্তানিকারক দেশগুলোকে চিঠি দিয়ে অনুরোধ করা হবে তারা যেন রপ্তানি আদেশ বাতিল না করে।
তিনি বলেন, ক্রেতা সাধারণরা যাতে করে সারাবছর সাশ্রয়ী মূল্যে নিত্যপ্রয়োজণীয় পণ্য কিনতে করতে পারেন, সেজন্য নিত্যপণ্যের চাহিদার নিরিখে আগামী এক বছরের অগ্রিম আমদানি কার্যক্রম গ্রহণ করতে সংশ্লিষ্ট আমদানিকারকদের চিঠি দেওয়া হয়েছে। এছাড়া আমাদের পণ্যের পর্যাপ্ত মজুদ রয়েছে। আমাদের এ বছর যে পরিমাণ ছোলা মজুদ আছে, তা দিয়ে আগামী রোজা পর্যন্ত চলে যাবে।
