অনলাইনে বিয়ে ও তালাকের নিবন্ধনের ওয়েবসাইট শেষ পর্যায়ে রয়েছে। যত দ্রুত সম্ভব এই অনলাইন ম্যারেজ অ্যান্ড ডিভোর্স রেজিস্ট্রেশন সিস্টেম আমরা সবার জন্য উন্মুক্ত করে দেব বলে জানিয়েছেন তথ্য ও যোগাযোগ প্রযুক্তি প্রতিমন্ত্রী জুনাইদ আহমেদ পলক।
সোমবার আন্তর্জাতিক কন্যাশিশু দিবস উপলক্ষে রাজধানীতে বাল্যবিবাহ ও শিশুশ্রম প্রতিরোধে প্রযুক্তির ভূমিকা নিয়ে এক সংলাপে তিনি এ তথ্য জানান। বেসরকারি উন্নয়ন সংস্থা ব্র্যাকের জেন্ডার, জাস্টিস অ্যান্ড ডাইভারসিটি কর্মসূচি এ সংলাপের আয়োজন করে।
প্রতিমন্ত্রী বলেন, এই ওয়েবসাইটের মাধ্যমে বিয়ের ক্ষেত্রে বয়স লুকানোর কোনো সুযোগ থাকবে না, বাল্য বিয়ে দেওয়ার সুযোগ থাকবে না। বিয়ে নিয়ে প্রতারণা দূর হবে। ভেরিফাই করা যায় এমন ডকুমেন্ট ছাড়া অনলাইনে রেজিস্ট্রেশন হবে না।
তথ্য ও যোগাযোগ প্রযুক্তি বিভাগ ইতিমধ্যে ‘বন্ধন ডটজিওভি ডটবিডি’ নামে ওয়েবসাইটটির আর্কিটেকচার ও প্রটোকলসহ ‘ডেমো’ তৈরি করেছে বলে তিনি জানান।
