পটুয়াখালীর গলাচিপায় আওয়ামী লীগের কেন্দ্রীয় কমিটির সদস্য ও সাবেক বস্ত্র প্রতিমন্ত্রী আখম জাহাঙ্গীর হোসাইনের মৃত্যুতে স্মরণসভা ও দোয়া অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে।
মঙ্গলবার উপজেলা আওয়ামী লীগ কার্যালয়ের সামনে পৌরমঞ্চে উপজেলা আওয়ামী লীগের উদ্যোগে এই স্মরণসভা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়।এতে সভাপতিত্ব করেন উপজেলা আওয়ামী লীগের সভাপতি অধ্যাপক সন্তোষ দে। সঞ্চালনা করেন সাধারণ সম্পাদক বীর মুক্তিযোদ্ধা গোলাম মোস্তফা টিটো।প্রধান অতিথি ছিলেন আওয়ামী লীগের কেন্দ্রীয় সাংগঠনিক সম্পাদক ও বরিশাল বিভাগের দায়িত্বপ্রাপ্ত নেতা অ্যাডভোকেট আফজাল হোসেন।
বিশেষ অতিথি ছিলেন জেলা আওয়ামী লীগ সভাপতি বীর মুক্তিযোদ্ধা কাজী আলমগীর হোসেন, সাধারণ সম্পাদক ভিপি আব্দুল মান্নান, পটুয়াখালী-৩ আসনের সাংসদ এসএম শাহজাদা, আখম জাহাঙ্গীর হোসইনের সহধর্মিণী মিসেস সেলিনা হোসাইন ও উপজেলা পরিষদ চেয়ারম্যান মু. শাহীন শাহ প্রমুখ।
অনুষ্ঠানে আরও উপস্থিত ছিলেন আখম জাহাঙ্গীর হোসাইনের ছেলে আসম জাওয়াদ সুজন। এছাড়া আওয়ামী লীগের জেলা ও উপজেলা পর্যায়ের নেতাকর্মী, সুশীল সমাজ, সংবাদকর্মী ও ব্যবসায়ীসহ বিভিন্ন স্তরের মানুষ।
