ভারত থেকে বাংলাদেশ যথাসময়ে ভ্যাকসিন পাবে বলে জানিয়েছেন পররাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী ড. এ কে আব্দুল মোমেন। সোমবার (৪ জানুয়ারি) ফরেন সার্ভিস একাডেমিতে সাংবাদিকদের এক ব্রিফিংয়ে তিনি একথা বলেন।
পররাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী বলেন, ভারত বাংলাদেশকে যথাসময়ে ভ্যাকসিন পাবে বলে জানিয়েছে। দেশটির পররাষ্ট্র মন্ত্রণালয় থেকে বাংলাদেশকে এ তথ্য নিশ্চিত করা হয়েছে।
পররাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী বলেন, ভারত থেকে ভ্যাকসিন আনার বিষয়ে এর আগে আমাদের প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনার সঙ্গে দেশটির প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদীর আলাপ হয়েছে, বাংলাদেশ প্রথম ভ্যাকসিন পাবে। সুতরাং, এ নিয়ে দুশ্চিন্তার কোনো কারণ নেই।
‘ভারতের পক্ষ থেকে আমাদের জানানো হয়েছে, সেরাম কোম্পানির সিইও যে বক্তব্য দিয়েছেন, তা ব্যক্তিগত। সেটা ভারত সরকারের কোনো পলিসি নয়।’
ভ্যাকসিন কবে নাগাদ আসতে পারে জানতে চাইলে ড. মোমেন বলেন, স্বাস্থ্যমন্ত্রী বলেছেন এই মাসের শেষে। অতএব আশা করছি এই মাসের শেষে।
তিনি বলেন, ভ্যাকসিন আনার বিষয়টি দুই দেশের উচ্চ পর্যায় থেকে কথা হয়েছে, তাই এটা নিয়ে দুশ্চিন্তার কোনো কারণ নেই।
