৫ থেকে ১২ বছর বয়সী শিশুদের করোনা টিকা জুলাইয়ের শেষ নাগাদ দেয়া শুরু হবে বলে জানিয়েছেন স্বাস্থ্যমন্ত্রী জাহিদ মালেক। আজ বুধবার সচিবালয়ে স্বাস্থ্যসেবা বিভাগের আওতাধীন দফতর/সংস্থার সঙ্গে ২০২২-২৩ অর্থবছরের বার্ষিক কর্মসম্পাদন চুক্তি (এপিএ) স্বাক্ষর অনুষ্ঠানে তিনি এ কথা জানান।
স্বাস্থ্যমন্ত্রী বলেন, করোনা ভ্যাকসিন কার্যক্রম চলমান রয়েছে। শিশুদের জন্য ভ্যাকসিন জুলাই মাসে সংগ্রহ হবে।
৫ থেকে ১২ বছর বয়সী শিশুদের ভ্যাকসিন কার্যক্রম জুলাই মাসের শেষে শুরু হবে।
মন্ত্রী বলেন, করোনা এখন ঊর্ধ্বমুখী। আমরা কিছুটা চিন্তিত, তবে শঙ্কিত নই। আমরা প্রস্তুত আছি। হাসপাতালগুলো রোগীদের চিকিৎসায় প্রস্তুত রয়েছে। সংক্রমণ রোধে গত সপ্তাহে আমরা সভা করেছি। সেখানে কিছু প্রস্তাবনা দিয়েছিলাম। অফিস, স্কুলে মাস্ক পরে যাবেন। ট্রেনে-বাসে মাস্ক পরতে হবে। গত সপ্তাহে এ বিষয়ে অনুরোধ করেছি। কেবিনেটসহ বিভিন্ন জায়গায় চিঠি দিয়েছি। জনগণ এই নির্দেশনা পালন করবে বলে প্রত্যাশা করছি।
