ঢাকার হযরত শাহজালাল আন্তর্জাতিক বিমানবন্দর থেকে মাসুদ খান (৩৯) নামে এক মাদক বিক্রেতাকে গ্রেপ্তার করা হয়েছে। সে পেটের ভেতরে করে ইয়াবা ট্যাবলেট বহন করছিল বলে জানিয়েছে বিমানবন্দর আর্মড পুলিশ ব্যাটালিয়ন (এপিবিএন)।
সোমবার (১৬ মে) দুপুরে বিমানবন্দর এপিবিএন’র অতিরিক্ত পুলিশ সুপার জিয়াউর রহমান এ তথ্য নিশ্চিত করেছেন। গ্রেপ্তাকৃত মাসুদ চাঁদপুরের রুহুল আমিন খানের ছেলে।
এপিবিএন কর্মকর্তা জিয়াউর রহমান বলেন, রোববার (১৫ মে) রাত ১১টা ৫০মিনিটে বিমানবন্দরের অভ্যন্তরীণ টার্মিনালের সামনে থেকে তাকে গ্রেপ্তার করা হয়েছে। জিজ্ঞাসাবাদে গ্রেপ্তারকৃত মাসুদ স্বীকার করেছেন যে-পাচারের উদ্দেশ্যে তিনি পেটের মধ্যে ইয়াবা বহন করছিলেন। টয়লেটে গিয়ে তিনি ৪ হাজার ৬৭৫ পিস ইয়াবা ট্যাবলেট বের করে নিয়ে আসেন।
গ্রেপ্তারকৃতদের বিরুদ্ধে মাদকদ্রব্য নিয়ন্ত্রণ আইনে রাজধানীর বিমানবন্দর থানায় ১টি মামলা দায়ের করা হয়েছে বলেও জানিয়েছে পুলিশ।
