নাটোর মসজিদের দানবাক্স ভেঙ্গে টাকা, মাইক ও যন্ত্রপাতি চুরির সময় এক যুবককে ধরে গণপিটুনি দিয়ে পুলিশে সোপর্দ করেছে এলাকাবাসী।
ছাতনী ইউনিয়ন আওয়ামী লীগের সভাপতি দুলাল সরকার জানান, ভোরে হৃদয় ওরফে স্বপন নামে পার্শ্ববর্তী বারঘরিয়া গ্রামের এক যুবক সদর উপজেলার ছাতনী পূর্বপাড়া জামে মসজিদে ঢুকে দানবাক্স ভেঙ্গে প্রথমে টাকা লুট করে।
এর পর মসজিদের তালা ভেঙ্গে যন্ত্রপাতি ও পরে মাইক খুলে নিয়ে দুমরে মুচরে বস্তায় ভরে পালানোর সময় পার্শ্ববর্তী বাড়ির মহিলারা দেখে চিৎকার শুরু করে। পরে স্থানীয় লোকজন তাকে ধরে গণধোলাই দিয়ে পুলিশের হাতে তুলে দেয়।
সদর থানার ওসি নাছিম আহমেদ জানান, অভিযুক্ত পুলিশ হেফাজতে রয়েছে। এখনো কেউ আনুষ্ঠানিক ভাবে কোন অভিযোগ দেয়নি।
