নাটোরের বড়াইগ্রাম উপজেলার বনপাড়া বাসস্ট্যান্ডের একটি ময়লার স্তূপ থেকে ব্যাগভর্তি টাকা উদ্ধার করা হয়েছে। বনপাড়া পৌরসভার পরিচ্ছন্নতাকর্মী রতন গতকাল রোববার সন্ধ্যায় ব্যাগভর্তি টাকাগুলো উদ্ধার করেন।
পরিচ্ছন্নতাকর্মী রতন জানান, গতকাল রোববার সন্ধ্যায় বনপাড়া বাসস্ট্যান্ড এলাকায় আবর্জনা পরিষ্কার করার সময় সেখানে একটি ব্যাগ দেখতে পান তিনি। কৌতুহলবশত ব্যাগটি খোলার পর তার ভেতর প্রচুর খুচরা টাকা পাওয়া যায়।
বিষয়টি স্থানীয় লোকজনদের জানালে তাঁরা ব্যাগ থেকে টাকাগুলো ঢেলে প্রকাশ্যে গণনা করেন। গণনা করে মোট ১৬ হাজার ২১০ টাকা পাওয়া যায়।
রতন জানান, ওই স্থানে এক বৃদ্ধা ভিক্ষুক অবস্থান করতেন। হঠাৎ করেই তাঁকে আর খুঁজে পাওয়া যাচ্ছে না। টাকাগুলো ওই বৃদ্ধার বলে ধারণা করা হচ্ছে।
ব্যাগভর্তি টাকাগুলো পৌরসভায় জমা রাখা হয়েছে বলে জানিয়েছেন পৌর মেয়র জাকির হোসেন।
