ময়মনসিংহ মেডিকেল কলেজ (মমেক) হাসপাতালের করোনা ইউনিটে গত ২৪ ঘণ্টায় করোনা আক্রান্ত হয়ে কোন রোগীর মৃত্যু হয় নি। তবে উপসর্গ নিয়ে একজন মারা গেছেন। গত আড়াই মাসে যা এই হাসপাতালে সর্বনিম্ন মৃত্যু। মৃত ব্যক্তি হলেন, ময়মনসিংহ সদরের আব্দুল খালেক (৫২)।
মঙ্গলবার সকালে বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করেছেন মমেকের করোনা ইউনিটের মুখপাত্র ডা. মহিউদ্দিন খান মুন।
তিনি জানান, করোনা ইউনিটে সোমবার সকাল ৮ টা থেকে মঙ্গলবার সকাল ৮ টা পর্যন্ত নতুন করে ৭ জন ভর্তি হয়েছেন। এ নিয়ে ইউনিটটিতে মোট রোগী রয়েছেন ১৪৩ জন। এদের মধ্যে আইসিইউতে ৮ জন চিকিৎসাধীন আছেন। এছাড়াও ওই সময়ে সুস্থ হয়ে বাড়ি ফিরেছেন ৪ জন।
এদিকে সিভিল সার্জন ডা. নজরুল ইসলাম জানান, গত ২৪ ঘণ্টায় জেলায় ৪০৭ টি নমুনা পরীক্ষায় ৪৭ জনের দেহে করোনা শনাক্ত হয়েছে। শনাক্তের হার ১১ দশমিক ৫৪ শতাংশ। এ পর্যন্ত জেলায় মোট আক্রান্ত ২১ হাজার ৩৯৬ জন এবং সুস্থ হয়েছেন ২০ হাজার ৬৮ জন।
